Rocking Autumn colours
I just love it when clients rock the wardrobe for their family shoots! Just check out this gorgeous colour combination that this beautiful family chose for their Autumn Family Shoot with me. The colours you choose are so important and in this case, the combination of yellow , grey and blue just worked in perfect harmony with the surrounding Autumn colours and made for just a really gorgeous Autumn family shoot.
A playful heart makes for happy photos
I’ve been really busy with Autumn family shoots and understandably so, as the colours are just spectacular at this time of the year. This particular family really brought a great energy to their autumn family shoot , and besides looking absolutely fabulous, they were really easy to get on with and had a really lovely easy going style which just fitted in perfectly with how I like to shoot. I do use a method called Playful Heart, developed by a Swedish photographer, which is a clever and creative way of getting your clients to relax and interact with each other naturally in front of the camera. The Playful Heart method has totally changed the way I photograph families, but having said that, it’s so good to photograph a family that naturally interacts in a playful way without being directed. And this family was just lovely in that regard. I love the picture of dad jumping over his daughter’s head! I adore it when clients do crazy things in front of the camera and play with their kids as if I wasn’t there, it really does make my job a lot easier.
