thank you ‘Great British’ weather
When Mrs P first asked me to first photograph her family, we planned the shoot in my local park in Cirencester, however the weather on the day was dull and miserable and threatening to rain, so we had to postpone the shoot. Mrs P then asked if I could rather come out to her family home in Oxfordshire and do the family shoot there as they had an elderly dog and a little pony that they wanted to include in the shoot. Well, what can i say except ‘thank you British weather’ as the best decision we ever made was shooting at their home and including their pets. Since doing this shoot, I now offer a dedicated lifestyle shoot at your home and I honestly cannot wait to do more of these. I’m so lucky to be a Oxfordshire family photographer.
magical family photos
I arrived to the most gorgeous country property in a pretty village. Mr’s P’s family is lovely with Mr P being patient and gracious with us all, the kids as cute as buttons and the pony and dog just full of character. We walked out the gate and down the gorgeous little country lane and from that moment on, I have to say that I have taken some of the loveliest photos of my career so far. The combination of kids in wellingtons and bright jumpers and the absolutely beautiful wheat coloured field that we found with the gorgeous light, well, some of these photos take my breath away. Maybe it’s the change from shooting in a park to a completely different environment, but there is a ‘magic’ to these family photos and I’m so very proud of this shoot. The shot of Mr and Mrs P standing looking at each other with the kids running around them, has to be one of my all time favorite shots ever. And on another note, just how gorgeous are the dog and pony.
