Gloucestershire reportage christening photography

I love photographing Christenings. I think because,  fundamentally, I enjoy reportage photography the most and a Christening lends itself beautifully to candid photography. This particular christening was thoroughly enjoyable as the environment was just gorgeous. Having moved to England from South Africa a year ago, I’m still very much enamored with the English villages, countryside and pubs..and this Christening encompassed all three of those! We met at a gorgeous old English pub in an absolutely quintessentially British village for pre-drinks before walking down the road to the stunning Old Church in the middle of the village for the Christening.   I took some really lovely reportage shots in the pub and in the church. The vicar was super, really fun and relaxed and let me walk around as I liked to photograph throughout the Christening. The christening was for a one year old little girl, who seemed to just enjoy the day and the  attention. She was very sweet and I love the photograph of her walking down the aisle with all the relatives with outstretched arms trying to get her back to her seat. It was a lovely day and a lovely family. I was very honored to have photographed this special event.  After the Christening, we took a drive to the house where I did the more ‘formal’ shots.

I am on location natural light photographer based in the absolutely beautiful Roman Market town of Cirencester, Gloucestershire. I’d love to photograph your event, be it a Christening, birthday party or social function. Please do get in touch to discuss your requirements.
