A couple shoot in the Cotswolds
James and Nadiah got married overseas and wanted a couple shoot in the beautiful Cotswolds to celebrate the happy occasion. We met on Cecilly Hill in Cirencester and took a leisurely walk through the park where I managed to get some gorgeous snaps of these two. It’s very evident how happy and in love they are, and they were really easy in front of the camera together. When shooting couples and families, I use a method developed by a Swedish Photographer, that helps people relax in front of the camera and produces very natural and spontaneous moments. That method worked really well with these two and I found myself grinning at some of the lovely moments captured whilst editing this shoot. Its not often that i get to hang out with a ‘cool’ couple as I’m usually running after 3 and 4 year olds whilst shooting families, so it was kinds ‘novel’ to be able to direct these two a little bit and actually have them ‘listen’ to me. LOL!
We left the park and took a stroll through Coxwell street, which has to be one of Cirencester’s oldest and prettiest streets. Nadiah was particularly enamored with the English history and architecture, so i wanted to include some of the cobbled streets and old buildings in the shoot. We ended up at ‘Jack’s’ coffee shop in Blackjack street where i photographed them through the glass windows. I love that photo.
All in all, a really lovely couple shoot in the beautiful Cotswold town of Cirencester. I am so privileged to call this magical place ‘home’.
